We’re glad you stopped by. We expect you’re in a lot of relational pain, and we understand it is challenging. We commend you for your tenacity to save your marriage. Please, remember, you didn’t get here overnight, so allow time for your changes to impact your spouse and facilitate his/her corresponding changes. Whether you’re seeing a therapist, or not, We pray you find helpful ideas on this page.
STEP 1: One-Sided Work
When your spouse isn’t working with you, you have to do the work one-sided. Think of your spouse as in relational ICU. The concept is to work on bringing healing for your spouse. Over time, this may create atmosphere for his/her to do the same, though there are no guarantees. For some, this is about doing the right thing, even when our spouse doesn’t. For others, it’s about giving the relationship as good a chance as we can to recover.
