Congratulations on your upcoming marriage!

We are glad to offer a few items to help you prepare for your life together. We recommend connecting with a premarital mentor at your local church and going through their program for engaged couples. As you develop your plan for laying a solid marital foundation, we have a few ideas to get you started or to add to your church’s program.

STEP 2

Consider purchasing the Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts books and workbooks included in the carousel below. If you aren’t working with a church leader, seek out a trusted mentor to discuss the material with you.

  • Read the SYMBIS book and do the his and her workbooks with it. Talk through your answers and make plans.

  • As you near your wedding day, read and discuss the book by Dr. Clifford and Joyce Penner.

STEP 3

We’ve used the following videos as part of our premarital program. After watching the two marriage Bible study videos, take the time to study the Scriptures for yourselves. Talk about them and what they mean to you. How will you apply them in your marriage? The third video is something we use with couples who are struggling in their relationship. Think through the tools in it and discuss how it might help you talk through a touchy topic. Revisit these after you’re married.
