In marriage, we're working toward two becoming ONE. That does't mean we disappear. It has to do with making plans and decisions as we do life together in a way that blends both husband and wife. Let's talk about independence from the perspective of either or both spouses withdrawing from ONE to remain two - This isn't the independence of a healthy adult. As two healthy individuals, we can build ONE or rip it apart. So, how does independence hurt a marriage?
